About Me
Ramona is a skilled expert with over 3 decades of experience in Program/Project Management. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), a certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) and She also holds SAFe certifications as a SAFe Agilist (SA), Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) and Product Owner/Product Manager (PO/PM). Ramona is also a current doctoral candidate in Business Administration at Georgia State University.
Ramona started her professional career at AT&T and has consulted at other companies such as MCIWorldCom, Cingular Wireless, InComm, and Cox Communications. She has over 10 years of direct staff management experience being successful at formulating effective long-term strategies and tactical plans to deliver mission-critical business initiatives while streamlining systems and processes to improve efficiency and productivity, reduce costs and enhance quality.
Ramona is an excellent team leader with the ability to influence and produce results in any organization.
Ramona earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Stillman College with a 3.68 cumulative GPA while being a student athlete playing Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis and running Track. She earned her Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering with a specialization in Software Engineering and Communications from the University of Maryland with 3.7 cumulative GPA.
Embodying entrepreneurship, Ramona has had a few entrepreneurial ventures including owning an Ethnic Wallpaper company, a Project Management Exam Certification Training and Consulting company and recently launched the Mastering Personal Agility course using agile principles and practices. She has volunteered as a certified Court Appointed Child Advocate (CASA), former President of the Northlake Toastmasters club, former Vice President of Membership of the Influence Ecology Toastmasters club and Landmark Education Introduction Leader.
She is also on faculty at Influential U: the leading education in Transactional Competence.
Ramona is, at heart, an Island Girl, raised on the beautiful island of St. Croix by her mom. Her mom taught her to always stick with whatever she attempted because “where there is a will, there is a way.” Ramona lives in the Atlanta Metro area and enjoys being a mom to her 3 young adults, 2 grandchildren and 2 grand pets. Together, they co-authored, “A Mom and Her 3 Kids: Partnership Parenting – How I Raised My Kids and My Kids Raised Me!” (available on Amazon). In her free time, Ramona likes learning languages, trying various fitness programs, most recently [solidcore] Pilates and enjoys training Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian Martial Art and Dance.
